Education Resources
IDA’s primary mission is to serve those who sell, install and service garage door products. IDA provides educational information, programs and services to help our members operate more profitably and proficiently.
IDA is committed to providing its members with important information about safety issues affecting the garage door industry. Under Renovation, Repair and Painting rule regulations, all contractors performing work that disturbs lead-based paint in housing, childcare facilities and schools built before 1978 must follow specific work practices to prevent lead contamination. IDA strongly encourages our members to obtain Certified Renovator status so they can fully comply with these rules.
IDA Education is the only online training resource available in the garage door and access systems industry.
IDA partners with the Institute of Door Dealer Education and Accreditation (IDEA) to offer education seminars and professional development workshops for owners, managers and field personnel within the garage door and access systems industry.
This series of Toolbox Talks is designed to enable dealers to schedule them on a weekly basis, and allowing for alternative topics in order to ensure relevance of each weekly talk. The IDA Toolbox Talks will represent a mix of generic topics that are customized to the needs of door dealers, and other topics that are exclusive to door dealers.
