Vision

The Vision of the International Door Association is to ultimately attain a level of product and installation quality unmatched by any other industry.

History

The International Door Association was created in 1995 with the merger of the Door & Operator Dealers Association (est. 1968) and the Far Western Garage Door Association (est. 1964).

The merger was agreed between the two associations on June 14, 1994, and the IDA began officially functioning on January 1, 1995.

The rich history of the IDA is captured within the pages of the IDA Heritage Book. This book includes prominent achievements of each president’s term and comments from many of the early leaders.
