In the current climate within our industry, companies are changing hands almost daily. The quicker sales of businesses are ones that keep good records and have information available for a potential buyer to look at. Nonetheless, it goes the same way for those not looking to sell, but rather grow their business, the same need for information and records exists. This seminar is going to focus on keeping the score matters for all of us because we are all either buying, selling, or holding onto our businesses for one main reason to make money.
Walt Sprenger

Walt Sprenger has over 30 years of experience in business and financial reporting. He has over 20 years within the door industry where he started as a CFO then became president of the company and assisted with the sale of that business to DuraServ in 2018. He then ran the business post-acquisition later moving to Chalotte, NC and ran a door business there for DuraServ, and eventually migrated to Dallas, TX where he has had several positions within the company as Vice President of Strategic Cost Management, Vice President of Strategic Partnerships and is now back in Finance as Vice President of Finance Operations. Early in his career, Walt worked as a Corporate Controller in the telecom industry (another industry that went through private equity consolidation) and worked on reporting as well as mergers and acquisitions in the middle and end of the 1990’s. Walt received his BA in Financial Accounting from Grand Valley State University as well as his MBA from Purdue University. Walt also has multiple certifications from the American Purchasing Society and currently serves as Treasurer for the IDA. Walt is married to the love of his life Rebecca, whom he shares 3 children with.
