WESLEY PERRY (IDA)
Perry’s Overhead Doors
Wesley started working with his dad at eight years old in his construction business. Wesley installed doors on the houses they built, and other contractors began asking if he would install their doors. After installing doors on nights and weekends for 2-3 years, his dad wanted to slow down the construction business, and Wesley decided to go full time in the door business in 1987.
Perry’s Overhead Doors Joined DODA in 1993 until the merger to form IDA in 1995, was IDEA accredited in 1997, and Wesley was among the charter class of Sanctioned Door Systems Trainers in April 2001. He became an IDEA Certified Residential Door Systems Technician in 2002 and completed his IDEA Master Technician certification in 2019. He is a member of the IDA High Roller Club.
Wesley is the current President and previously chaired the Advocacy Committee and served two terms as dealer Vice President. Also served on the Heritage & Nominating, Technology & Education and the Expo Committees. Wesley has served on the Holiday Caravan Christmas Parade for 33 years and the Board for the over 20 years. He has worked with The Baptist History Preservation Society, traveling and working on projects. He works with the North Carolina Baptist Mission in their partnership with the Hawaii Pacific Baptist Association doing construction and repairs in the Pacific Islands. He’s served as a Deacon, Treasurer, and Building and Grounds Committee Chair in his local church. Wesley coached basketball and Little League baseball.
Wesley graduated from high school in 1986, and he and his wife Wendy have been married for 36 years. They have 4 children and 4 Grandchildren. Wesley enjoys spending time with family, shooting, boating, and volunteering.
ADAM WEBER (IDA)
AE Door & Window Co.
Adam has been in the garage door industry his whole life watching his dad begin a successful business over 40 years ago. He started working for AE Door & Window in the warehouse 20 years ago and worked his way up to become the President of the company. He has grown the business significantly over last 12 years as President. Adam expanded the Cincinnati location a few years back and last year updated the Florence Kentucky location to match. Adam was the President of the Home Builders Association in Cincinnati for several years. He also has served on the Clopay and Liftmaster Advisory Board for 6 years. He was also on the board of directors for the Andy Dalton foundation. More recently he was nominated and elected the Chair of Education for the IDA. This keeps him very busy traveling all over and furthering education and ideas for other garage door companies. Adam is the President of two other distribution companies in Cincinnati, Tri-State Door and United Door Group.
TOM DESILVA (IDEA)
Chaimberlain Group
Tom DeSilvia is the Director of Engineering for the Chamberlain Group. Tom joined Chamberlain in 2004 and has held several positions in engineering and legal. Tom currently spends much of his time overseeing regulatory engineering, global standards development, as well as investigating and supporting Chamberlain’s product liability cases.
Tom has been an active member within DASMA for over 17 years. He is the current President of IDEA, Chair of the Automated Vehicular Gate Systems Coalition, and Vice-Chair of DASMA’s Gate Operator Committee. He is an active voting member on four UL Standard Technical Panels. He is also a participant of the IEC TC61 and MT25 committees that drive international standards.
BILL EARNEST (IDEA)
The Total Garage Store, LLC
Bill has a B.S. in Business Administration from Bowling Green State University and an MBA in Operations Management from Oakland University. From 1988 – 1998, Bill was Division Director of Human Resources and V. P. of Operations for The Stanley Works, Door Systems Division. In these roles, he oversaw the production of Stanley garage doors, Stanley garage door operators and the Multi-Code line of electronics. From 1998 – 2005, Bill was Plant Manager for Wayne-Dalton’s Mount Hope, Ohio facility, and was Wayne-Dalton’s Director of Marketing from 2005-2008. From 2008 – present, Bill and his family own The Total Garage Store, with five locations in Tennessee: Nashville, Knoxville, Gallatin, Clarksville and Jackson and one in Arden, NC. Bill and his wife Julie, have two daughters, Megan and Mindy.
TIM CASTELLO (DASMA)
Miller Edge
Tim Castello is the Vice President of Miller Edge and has worked there since 1997. He received his B.A. from Pennsylvania State University and has worked in the door industry for 33 years bringing a wealth of knowledge to Miller Edge, in addition, Tim has several patents to his credit. He has worked in Sales for Overhead Door of Washington DC, was General Manager and owner of Overhead Door of Chester and Delaware Counties, and Vice President for Central Delaware Overhead Door Company. He is well known and respected in the door industry. Mr. Castello was an accredited Robotic Risk Assessments Trainer as well as a current Certified Door Dealer Consultant and currently serving on the IDA Board.
MICHEL BEAUDOIN (DASMA)
Canimex
A key figure within the Canimex Group, Michel Beaudoin is the director of Canimex Torque Force and the chief strategy officer of Manaras-Opera. Over his 43 year career, he has worked in nearly every sector of the manufacturing industry, including sales, logistics, operations, and management. Among his accomplishments as a values-driven, globally experienced business leader, Michel has contributed to the international expansion of the Canimex Group, which is now established in over 70 countries.
Since January 2024, Michel has served as president of the Door & Access Systems Manufacturers Association (DASMA). He joined DASMA’s board of directors in 2012 and previously acted as chairman of its Associates Division. He has been a part of multiple other organizations over the years, such as the National Association of Garage Door Manufacturers (NAGDM), the Door & Operator Dealers Association (DODA), the Far Western Garage Door Association (FWGDA), and the American Rolling Door Institute (ARDI).
