How to Enjoy the Success of Your Hard Work
Tuesday, April 23 8:00 AM – 9:00 AM
You’ve grown a successful business, now what?! How do you step away so that you can enjoy the benefits of your success? What does the future of your company look like without you running the day-to-day? Who will take over when you decide to step back? Are you going to transfer the business to a key employee? Will a family member take over? Would you take advantage of the growth in the industry and sell to a private equity group? How much money would you walk away with at the end of the sale or transfer? Selling or transferring a company is often a once in a lifetime happening and it is never too early to develop a plan. This session will focus on forming a strategic plan to successfully transfer your company, capturing the value of your success while minimizing your tax liability.
Upon completion of this course, the participants will be able to:
- Understand the basics of valuing a company;
- Explore the exit options in succession planning;
- Consider the tax liability of different strategies in selling or transferring their company; and
- Secure the success they’ve built for the future through estate planning.
