History
The International Door Association (IDA) was established on January 1, 1995, through the merger of the Door & Operator Dealers Association (founded in 1968) and the Far Western Garage Door Association (founded in 1964), following an agreement between the two organizations on June 14, 1994.
Mission
The International Door Association’s (IDA) mission is to be the leading trade association representing the door and access systems industry by providing advocacy, education, and collaboration to advance the industry with increased professionalism, and vibrant volunteer leadership and staff.
