Steve Kuscsik is a Principal Engineer at UL LLC. He is responsible for working with industry to help develop and maintain safety requirements for garage door and gate operators. He works with manufacturers, code officials, CPSC, and others to help bring safe and compliant products to the market. He is also involved with UL 325 training and education for UL staff and industry. He has 30 years of product safety experience, including 21 years in the door/door industry.
He is the lead technical rep and a voting member on the UL 325 Standards Technical Panel, serves on the IEC TC 61 MT 25 committee for 60335-2-95, -97, and -103, on NFPA70 (NEC) CMP 17, and has completed the IDEA Automated Gate System Design School.
Steve contributes regularly at DASMA meetings, IDA, AFA Fencetech, and other industry events.
